I've decided to participate in the 40 Days of Purpose "work out" with the book "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren as a part of my daily routine.

This is my analogy as to why I personally am doing this and encouraging others to do it as well......
Most would agree that exercise is good for the body in good measure and not only in the physical but many are coming to realize, as I have, that it is even more important in the spiritual. Who would find an excersise routine fulfilling without realizing it's purpose? It could be said that rolling over in bed is an excersise but if that's all you did what would become of your body as a whole? Would you be satisfied that you had fulfilled your purpose in doing this alone? If so, great, but if not, you may want to look into what Jesus meant when He said..... "Rise, take up thy bed, and walk." ( See John 5:8 - 5:12 and Mark 2:9 ).

I firmly believe that this scripturally based spiritual exercise routine is just what the body of Christ and humanity as a whole needs at this point in time and to me this is more than just another self help book or trend. This "excersise" is making each day more and more of a Holy day of opportunity for me full of purpose and meaning. If self-actualizing has thus far eluded you or left you feeling empty in your life, you may want to see if God-actualizing through participating in the 40 Days of Purpose at a local church would help make a difference for you.

As of 01/25/2004 I'm starting this public testimonial after being 12 days into my "individual" 40 day work out but intend to review a bit as time allows and journal my daily progression here. I'm independently doing this now in preparation for when the body in the local churches do it on a corporate level starting in late February 2004 in that I might be better prepared to assist in what ever way God might have for me to do. Come to think about it....Perhaps I'm already doing it! +-:o)
